Favorites

Heart the drinks you come back to and find them all in one list, with search and sorting.

Favorites keep the drinks you come back to in one place. Any cocktail can be a favorite, including recipes of your own.

Add a favorite

  • On a recipe page. Tap the heart at the top right. It fills in to show the drink is a favorite.
  • From a list. Long-press a cocktail in a list or in search results, or the cocktail of the day on Home, and choose Add to favorites. A short message confirms it.

Favorites show a small filled heart on their row in cocktail lists.

To remove one, tap the heart on its page again, or long-press it and choose Remove from favorites.

Open your favorites

On Home, tap the heart at the top right. Your Favorites open in a sheet, sorted by name. Tap a drink to open its recipe right inside the sheet, and use the back button to return to the list.

  • Search. Type in Search favorites. It matches names, spirits and ingredients the same way the Search tab does. See Search tips.
  • Sort. Tap the arrows button next to the search field and choose Name or Highest rated. Highest rated uses the ratings from your tasting journal; drinks you haven’t rated come last.

You can also say “Open favorites in Sakaba” to Siri. See Siri and Shortcuts.

If you haven’t added any yet, the sheet says “No favorites yet” and reminds you to tap the heart on any cocktail.

Plus recipes in your favorites

Without Sakaba Plus, you can still favorite a Plus recipe by long-pressing it in a list. In Favorites it shows a ✨, and tapping it opens the Sakaba Plus sheet instead of the recipe. With Plus, it opens like any other. See Free vs Plus.

Good to know

  • Sync. Favorites sync across your devices signed in to the same iCloud account. See iCloud sync.
  • Logging a favorite. When you add an entry from the Journal, Choose a cocktail lists your favorites first.
  • Deleting your own recipe removes it from Favorites too.
